Refund Policy

This policy explains how Balkan Online School reviews and processes refund requests for paid subscriptions and purchases made through our service. We aim to be fair and to consider every request individually.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to paid subscriptions and other purchases made through Balkan Online School.
The first topic of each grade is available for free, and an active subscription unlocks the rest of the content. There is no free trial. Billing is in euros (EUR).
Paddle as Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), which acts as the Merchant of Record and handles VAT and other applicable taxes.
Balkan Online School does not store your payment-card data — that data is tokenised by Paddle. When we approve a refund, Paddle processes it and returns the funds.
A case-by-case approach
We review refund requests individually, on a case-by-case basis.
There is no fixed automatic refund window, but there is also no blanket "all sales final" rule. Instead, we look at each request in its context and decide fairly.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact our support team at support@balkanonlineschool.com ([potvrditi] / [confirm]).
To help us handle your request quickly, please include the following:
- the email address of the parent account that made the purchase,
- the date of purchase and which product or subscription it relates to,
- the reason for your refund request and, if possible, proof of the charge (e.g. a receipt or invoice from Paddle).
What we consider
When reviewing a request, we are guided by the circumstances of each case. The following are examples of situations that usually weigh in favour of a refund — these are examples, not guarantees:
- a technical problem that prevented you from accessing the service you paid for,
- an accidental duplicate charge for the same purchase,
- a very recent purchase with little or no usage of the service.
Statutory consumer rights
This policy does not limit your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
If mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you (e.g. laws of the Republic of Serbia or the EU) give you broader rights, those rights prevail over this policy.
How and when refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method used for the purchase.
The time it takes for funds to arrive depends on Paddle and on your bank or card issuer, and typically takes a few business days after the refund has been approved and processed.
Cancellation vs. refund
Cancelling and refunding are not the same thing.
When you cancel a subscription, you stop future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the current paid period. Cancelling on its own does not automatically mean a refund — if you would like a refund, please contact us separately.
